Christmas 26 floors above Newcastle: 3Sixty’s festive line-up includes lobster, parties and festive bottomless
- Advertisement Feature
Lobster, tournedos Rossini and Santa, 26 floors above the city. Here’s why the highest table in Newcastle should be in your festive diary this year.
There are Christmas lunches, and then there are Christmas lunches with the whole of Newcastle twinkling beneath you. 3Sixty, the sky lounge restaurant and bar on the 26th floor of Hadrian’s Tower, has unveiled its festive programme for 2026, and it’s one of the most complete seasonal line-ups in the city.
Whether you’re planning a long, lazy lunch with the girls, a family afternoon tea, a proper team night out or somewhere to see in 2027, there’s something on the calendar for you. Here’s everything you need to know, from what’s on the menu to how to book your Christmas party before the best dates go.
A room with a view
First, the obvious. 3Sixty’s big draw is its panorama: floor-to-ceiling views in every direction, with the Tyne, the Toon and the city lights spread out below. On a crisp December evening, as the sun sets over Newcastle, it’s hard to think of a more festive backdrop.
For the season, every table is dressed for Christmas, and live entertainment runs throughout December. Expect live music on Fridays, a DJ from 8pm on Saturdays and a relaxed Sunday piano lounge from 1pm to 4pm, with a resident pianist and acoustic singers popping up across the festive period.
What’s on the menu
The festive set menu is the headline act, at £42.95 per person for two courses or £55.95 for three with a welcome drink.
Starters lean indulgent. There’s grilled lobster cocktail with toasted brioche, a generous festive antipasto board of Parma ham, artisan salami, curried chorizo, burrata and Pecorino, and Caesar salad croquettes with shaved Parmesan. Lighter options include roasted pumpkin soup with warm sourdough, a goat’s cheese, caramelised onion and walnut tart, and charred asparagus with lemon, capers and almond crumb.
For mains, traditionalists will head straight for the roast turkey breast with pigs in blankets and red wine jus. But the showstopper is the tournedos Rossini: beef fillet topped with pan-seared foie gras, Madeira jus and shavings of black truffle. There’s also a herb-crusted rack of lamb with gratin potatoes, Parma ham-roasted monkfish tail with a cockle and parsley sauce, and a vegan herbed tofu with cauliflower purée.
Save room for dessert. Choose from Christmas pudding, cherry Bakewell, winter berry crumble or a Black Forest bomb.
Festive afternoon tea (£30.95 per person, 12pm to 5pm daily) is one of the prettiest ways to spend a December afternoon. Tiered stands are filled with brie and cranberry, turkey and bacon, and salmon sandwiches, warm scones, and sweet treats including Black Forest financiers, Biscoff waffle bites and apple tarte. Vegetarian and vegan versions are the same price. Upgrade with a glass of prosecco (£32.95), a Christmas Bellini (£35.95) or champagne (£38.95).

Festive bottomless (£54.95 per person) gives you 90 minutes of free-flowing prosecco, house wine, bottled beer and festive cocktails, including a Cherry 75, Chocolate Orange and Christmas Mule. A main is included, with a choice of seabass, roast turkey, rump steak or herbed tofu. It runs every day through December, so it’s ideal for a festive catch-up with friends.
Santa, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve
If you’ve got little ones, afternoon tea with Santa is running on Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th December, with sittings at 12pm and 12.30pm. It’s £29.95 per adult, £19.95 per child and £5 for under-twos. These dates will go quickly, so book early.
Once the presents are open, 3Sixty is a great shout for Boxing Day, with bottomless and à la carte menus, festive afternoon tea and small plates in the lounge. It’s the perfect excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the view one more time before the year ends.
Then there’s New Year’s Eve, and there are few better places to watch the clock strike midnight than the highest point in the city. Expect signature cocktails, a champagne toast and live music from early evening until late, with the restaurant open until 1am. There’s a £50 per person minimum spend, with a choice of à la carte dining or a piano lounge with a small plates menu. 3Sixty expects it to sell out.
Finally, ease into 2027 on New Year’s Day with festive bottomless (£54.95) or a Sunday lunch menu served all day. Hair of the dog, anyone?
