Newcastle’s most unique night out: Purple Peacock launches its Friday Dine & Dance experience

Move over, ordinary dinner reservations. Purple Peacock – Newcastle’s only immersive showbar – has just launched a brand-new Friday night Dine & Dance experience, and it’s unlike anything else the city has seen.
Located at 55 Degrees North in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Purple Peacock has already made a name for itself as the city’s number one destination for immersive entertainment. Now, it’s raising the bar even further with a full-scale Friday night dining and dancing spectacular that fuses a two-course meal with a live, high-energy, choreographed show – all under one roof.
With themes changing every eight to 10 weeks, you can return again and again to sing-a-long and enjoy the show. June and July will showcase Dirty Dancing, Grease and Mamma Mia, then from September the show will feature Footloose, Saturday Night Fever & Fame.

The Show: Dirty Dancing / Grease / Mamma Mia
Every Friday this summer, the Purple Peacock stage will come alive with a triple-threat production celebrating three of the most iconic soundtracks ever written. Think rock ‘n’ roll classics colliding with ABBA anthems and those unforgettable dancefloor moments – all performed live by a cast of powerhouse vocalists and dancers in a full-scale production designed to keep the energy building from start to finish.
This isn’t your typical dinner theatre. There are no awkward silences, no quiet tables, and absolutely no sitting on the sidelines. As the night builds, performers bring guests into the action, the lights shift, the music lifts, and as the final set lands, the dancefloor opens up. It’s a packed room, big energy, and a soundtrack that everybody knows.
The Dine & Dance food menu
For those going Premium – and honestly, why wouldn’t you? – a delicious two-course menu is included in the ticket price. Dishes are pre-ordered ahead of the show, so everything runs seamlessly on the night.
There’s a starter for everyone from the Mushroom & Thyme Pâté (VE) and Bruschetta (Vg), to the indulgent Confit Duck Bonbons or Thai Honey Chicken Tenders with a sticky lime glaze (Laura’s favourite).
Mains are equally strong, with Crispy Pork Belly, Miso Glazed Salmon, Peppercorn Chicken and the Peacock Burger (available in beef or vegan) all on offer – with the option to upgrade your fries to Parmesan Truffle for £3.
Desserts can be added for £6.95 and include Vegan Chocolate Fudge Cake, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Eton Mess.
Ticket prices
There are two ticket options for the Friday night show:
Standard – £29.95 per person. The perfect way to experience the show. Includes a welcome drink on arrival, a table around the stage, and full access to the live show with vocals, choreography, fire acts and aerial performances. A la carte dining is available to pre-order or order on the night.
Premium (Dine & Dance) – £49.95 per person. The full experience. Includes everything in the Standard ticket, plus the two-course meal detailed above and a welcome drink on arrival. This is the one to book if you want the complete night.
Doors open at 7pm for Friday shows, and a £10 per person deposit secures your table at the time of booking.
How to book
Booking is simple and done entirely online. Head to the Purple Peacock events calendar and follow these steps:
- Select your preferred date and show.
- View full event details — including the menu and preview videos — then choose your ticket type. Enter your group size and check availability.
- If spaces are confirmed, you’ll be redirected to a secure booking system to enter your details and make payment.
- On completion, you’ll receive a confirmation and can download your welcome PDF.
- A confirmation email will also be sent, which you can reply to for any changes, cancellations or pre-orders.
Don’t hang around — the Friday night bookings are filling up fast already. A deposit of £10 per person is required to secure the booking, with the balance collected at the time of reservation or via a secure payment link sent by the sales team.
