London Fashion Week is coming to Newcastle this September
London Fashion Week might be 280 miles away, but this September, Newcastle is stepping firmly onto the style map.
The British Fashion Council has announced that its City-Wide Celebration (CWC), a festival of fashion, culture and creativity usually centred on London, will be expanding to the North East for the first time, with events and activations across the city from Friday 26th to Tuesday 30th September.
Think designer panels, immersive fashion tech, pop-ups, exclusive shopping experiences and live music, all hosted at some of Newcastle’s best-loved destinations, including Fenwick and Eldon Square.
WHAT’S ON IN NEWCASTLE
The Future of Fashion
Date: Saturday 27th September

Eldon Square will be transformed into an interactive showcase of the Future of Fashion, bringing together cutting-edge technology, creative talent, and immersive experiences to explore how innovation is reshaping the fashion industry.
Curated by Sunderland Software City, the event will feature three immersive zones across the shopping centre, each offering a unique glimpse into fashion’s digital future:
Main Stage (St. Andrew’s Way) – In collaboration with leading North East technology company Animmersion, a holographic display will take centre stage. Using the latest DeepFrame augmented reality technology, fashion will be brought to life in spectacular style, creating virtual, avatar-like experiences.
Headset Village (Community Quarter) – Visitors can step inside fashion-focused virtual reality worlds, where catwalks, clothing and creativity are experienced in fully immersive 3D.
Creator Space (5G Immersive Lab) – Guests can design and personalise their own garments and outfits, then see them come to life inside popular gaming platforms such as Roblox.
Terry De Havilland pop-up at Fenwick Newcastle
