MOUTH OF THE TYNE FESTIVAL
When: Thursday 11th July – Sunday 14th July

There are still limited tickets left for various performances at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival this weekend – including legend Heather Small on Sunday. Even if you can’t get into the actual festival, why not head down to Tynemouth to soak up the atmosphere?

OUSEBURN FESTIVAL

Ouseburn Festival is returning, bringing a weekend of free live music, art, performances, family activities, and much more. We’re talking pony petting, craft workshops with local artists, street food, entertainers, live music, boat trips, comedy, fairs and exhibitions (we told you it was a lot). One not to be missed. The super cool Ouseburn Market will also be on both days, with more than 60 stalls from unique traders and local makers. Perfection.

A DJ at a classical music venue? Hear us out. For over 30 years, Josh Davis has expressed his passion, taste, and values through the music he creates as DJ Shadow. The name alone evokes a high watermark for instrumental hip-hop and composition. From his first masterpiece, Endtroducing…, to his underrated Bay Area celebration, The Outsider – his work in the ‘90s and first decade of the 2000s is as essential as it is hard to pin down. Iconic North East band Lindisfarne will be at Wylam Brewery this Sunday, performing much-loved hits including ‘Meet Me On The Corner’, ‘Run For Home’ and Fog On The Tyne’ – get ready to singalong.

ART CAR BOOT SALE

Where: Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead

The Art Car Boot Fair is returning to BALTIC as part of the Summer Sizzler Weekend. More than 50 artists and makers from the North East and beyond will be parking up outside the gallery to showcase and sell their creations. Meet the artists, listen to live music, enjoy food, drink and ice cream, then try more of the free drop-in events inside BALTIC.
