Cranberry mulled white wine

This lighter version of traditional mulled wine is the perfect drink to see you through Halloween and Bonfire Night and into the festive period.

Servings: 6

INGREDIENTS

1 (750-mL) bottle dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)

1 cup of fresh cranberries

1/3 cup of pure honey

1 lemon, sliced, plus more for garnish

2 sprigs fresh rosemary

2 cinnamon sticks

2 star anise

1 tsp. cardamom pods

METHOD

Combine white wine, cranberries, honey, lemon, rosemary, cinnamon, star anise, and cardamom in a large saucepan.

Simmer over medium-low heat until warm and the flavours are infused – around 20 to 25 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and serve warm, garnished with lemon slices.
